Who made this?

I'm Hugo Thomas, a French filmmaker and developer. My first feature film, Willy 1er, premiered at Cannes. My second, Juniors, screened at festivals worldwide. Both are on Netflix. Before ending up in filmmaking, I completed a Master's in Law and two bachelor's degrees simultaneously, in France and Canada.

Along the way, I started building tools for writers and creatives. Things I wished existed. Screenplay Editor was the first. Then came Granted.

Why Granted?

When you make films in France, grant writing isn't a side task. It's the job. Between the CNC, regional funds, SOFICA schemes, and European co-production programs, I've filled out more applications than I can count. Every project means a new round of proposals, budgets, artistic notes, and annexes, each with its own formatting rules and deadlines.

After years of copy-pasting the same paragraphs across dozens of proposals, reformatting budgets at 2 AM, and scrambling to merge annexes the night before a deadline, I thought: there has to be a better way. My legal background probably helped, too. I was already wired to care about structure, precision, and not missing a clause.
